Welcome, everyone. Tonight was meant to be a dazzling celebration here at Spring Haven Farm a grand masquerade filled with music, lights, and elegance. Instead, the evening has taken a dark and unexpected turn.

As the night approached, whispers of tension rippled through the crowd. Penelope Stewart, radiant hostess of the ball, had been seen in heated exchanges with several guests, her composure slipping behind the mask she wore. Then, just as the orchestra swelled and laughter echoed across the grounds, the festivities were shattered by a piercing scream near the fountain.

There, amidst the flickering lanterns and hushed confusion, Penelope was found lifeless  her mask broken beside her, her body half-submerged in the water. What was meant to be a night of celebration has become a crime scene.

The Suspects

Silas Moore:

Silas is a farm veteran of fifteen years who knows every corner of the property. Reserved and stoic, he has always preferred the company of animals over people. He strongly opposed the masquerade ball, insisting that the noise and lights would traumatize the goats, and later discovered that Penelope planned to sell the pastureland to build a luxury resort. On the night the goats vanished, Silas was seen near the pens shortly beforehand. He had fresh mud on his boots, despite claiming he spent the entire night “working in the barn.” But could his quiet loyalty to the animals have pushed him to do something unthinkable… or is he simply hiding something?

Beatrice Vane:

Beatrice was always at Penelope’s side, presenting herself as her closest and most devoted friend. Known for her expensive tastes and chronic debt, she relied heavily on Penelope’s generosity. Until a heated argument over an unpaid loan changed everything. Beatrice knew that Penelope planned to remove her from the will, despite Penelope’s habit of carrying her rare jewelry collection wherever she went. After the discovery, Beatrice’s mask remained suspiciously clean, yet she became visibly shaken whenever the fountain was mentioned. And when one of Penelope’s valuable brooches was found near the goat pens, an uncomfortable question emerged: did loyalty and friendship survive the temptation of desperation?

Julian Fairchild:

Julian Stewart spent his life in Penelope’s shadow. The younger sibling, the “undiscovered” artist, and the one living off her success and fortune. Desperate for money to fund his next exhibition, Julian had everything to gain from Penelope’s death, which made him the sole heir to the Stewart estate. On the night of the incident, he was the last person seen arguing with Penelope near the fountain. Was this just another bitter family dispute… or the moment resentment finally turned into something far more dangerous?

Celeste Sterling:

Celeste Sterling is a renowned art dealer known for his charm, refined taste, and carefully cultivated reputation. As Penelope’s former lover, he never truly accepted the end of their relationship, continuing to place himself in her social orbit long after their separation. Possessive and deeply proud, Celeste was visibly shaken when Penelope arrived at the ball with another companion, a sight that stirred old wounds and ignited intense jealousy. Witnesses later reported seeing him grab Penelope by the arm and pull her aside for a private conversation, his emotions clearly heightened by alcohol. While many assumed the exchange was fueled by anger, Celeste claims he only sought to return a valuable jewel Penelope had left behind and perhaps rekindle what they once had. But was his heartbreak merely an excuse… or did rejection finally push him too far

The Victim

Penelope Stewart:

Penelope Stewart was the radiant heart of Spring Haven Farm, admired for her elegance and generosity. Beneath her composed exterior, she carried heavy decisions and hidden tensions. On the night of the masquerade, her future and her life were abruptly cut short.
