​​Murder Mystery Night Instructions and Guidelines:

1. Upon arrival, you were provided with a booklet and pencil to take notes on. Explore this website to familiarize yourself with the background, suspects and timeline.

2. Begin your investigative journey! There are 10 QR codes on signs located around the farm that say “Murder Mystery Clue.” Scan the QR codes to get a clue to help solve the Mystery. Remember to record all the clues you find!

3. Interview Suspects: You can talk to all suspects to try to piece together the story. Interviewing the suspects is not necessary to solve the mystery, but they can explain their story. 

4. Submit your findings! From 8:00 pm until 10:30pm, you have the opportunity to use your wits and all of the clues presented to solve the Murder by entering your choices on the "Solve Murder" page. At 10:30 PM in the pavilion, the Murder Mystery Host will reveal what really happened to Penelope Stewart.

Before the unfortunate and untimely death of your hostess, tonight was intended to be a dazzling celebration of happiness and life here at Spring Haven Farm—a grand masquerade filled with music, laughter, elegant costumes, and candlelit splendor.

But instead, the evening has taken a dark and unexpected turn.

As the night unfolded, whispers of tension began to spread throughout the farm. Penelope Stewart, the radiant hostess of the ball, had been seen in heated exchanges with several guests. Behind her flawless smile and elegant mask, it seemed something was terribly wrong.

Then, just as the dancing began, a piercing scream shattered the festivities.

Guests rushed toward the sound, which came from near the duck pond. There, beneath the flickering lanterns and surrounded by a stunned and silent crowd, Penelope was discovered lifeless, her body half-submerged in the water.

What began as an evening of celebration, elegance, and mystery has suddenly become a crime scene.

​

And somewhere among you, ladies and gentlemen, is a murderer.

​

As we all know, the Orange County Sheriff's Department has a difficult time solving actual crimes. Please help them tonight by solving the murder of Penelope Stewart.
