6:20 p.m. — Silas Moore is seen near the barn. 
She mutters about the noise frightening the animals. She was clearly unsettled and anxious about the ball.
 

6:35 p.m. — Beatrice Vane arrives late, wearing a lavish mask decorated with emeralds.
She clings to Penelope’s side, but there seems to be a tension between the two friends. When Penelope brushes off her friend, Beatrice’s smile falters, and she excuses herself to fetch wine.
 

6:45 p.m. — Carl Sterling makes a dramatic entrance.
He notices Penelope chatting friendly with another companion and grows visibly tense. Guests whisper as Carl fixes his gaze on the pair, fuming and staring without blinking, his emotions barely contained behind the mask.
 

7:00 p.m. — Julia Stewart appears, mask slightly askew.
She drifts through the crowd, wine glass in hand, pacing restlessly and avoiding conversation. Her normal charisma seems muted by the mask she wears, although she still smiles warmly at all the guests.
 

7:15 p.m. — Beatrice Vane is seen lingering near the refreshment table. 
She clutches her purse tightly and avoids eye contact when guests mention Penelope. Her forced smile and sudden change of subject leave onlookers uneasy.
 

7:30 p.m. — Silas is spotted pacing near the edge of the crowd. 
She mutters about the farm being “for the animals, not tourism." Her agitation draws attention, though she avoids direct confrontation.
 

7:45 p.m. — Penelope is last seen alive. 
She drifts toward the center of the farm where the ducks and turtles live, her mask slightly tilted, pausing to speak in hushed tones with several guests throughout the evening. Some recall seeing her in a tense exchange, others remember her brushing someone aside with a dismissive gesture. The music swelled, and Penelope slipped into the shadows near the water tower, her presence fading from the crowd.
 

7:55 p.m. — A scream pierces the music. 
Confusion cuts through the crowd, and guests are left wondering if this is just an animal cry or something more sinister. The body of Penelope Stewart is discovered minutes later. She lies half-submerged in the duck pond at the heart of the farm, her mask shattered beside her, her gown torn and body bruised. Panic spreads through the crowd.
 

8:00 p.m. — The aftermath.

Silas insists she was only worried about the farm, muttering that “none of this should have happened.”

Beatrice trembles, her mask spotless, refusing to speak when guests mention Penelope, she is visibly upset. 

Carl paces near the water tower, claiming he was searching for something he had lost earlier in the evening.

Julia lingers at the edge of the crowd, silent and withdrawn, her expression unreadable behind the mask.
 

8:30 p.m. — The sheriff arrives.
He surveys the fountain and declares the scene suspicious, ordering Penelope’s body and belongings to be examined. As lanterns flicker across the farm, whispers ripple through the crowd, each guest speculating who could have committed such a terrible act against the young woman.

The Sheriff announces "the killer is still here, and no one leaves until the truth is uncovered!"
